Anchor Lines | Double Braid
Right Rope's Sail-Right is an excellent rigging line for sailboats. We make it in the USA from premium yarns with a finishing process to "set" and pre-shrink the line. Sail-Right is strong, durable and low-stretch. We have it in any diameter you need as well as in four different colors so you can differentiate your sheets.
Sail-Right is made from 100% polyester and is a double braid construction with a braided core and a braided cover. This rope construction is torque-free and will not hockle or kink, and can be easily spliced. Sail-Right is soft and easy to handle and has excellent abrasion and UV resistance.
FAQ's Sail Right Double Braid Rope
Question: What is the difference between Sail-Right Double Braid Rope and your product called Double Braid Polyester Rope: Aren't they both 100% double braided polyester?
Answer: Yes, Sail-Right Double Braid Rope and our Double Braid Polyester Rope are both 100% double braided polyester and made in the USA. The biggest difference between them is the yarns used to make the Sail-Right are steam-set / pre-shrunk before construction to keep them "set" and the yarns used in our Double Braid Polyester Rope are not pre-shrunk. Our Double Braid Polyester Rope also comes in larger diameters (up to 1").
Question: What is Sail-Right Double Braid Rope most commonly used for?
Answer: Sail-Right Double Braid Rope is most commonly used for rigging sheets on sail boats.
Question: Why can't I order a custom-rope-end on the 3/16" Sail-Right Double Braid Rope?
Answer: We have found the 3/16" is too small of a diameter to perform an eye splice or other customizations.
Question: Why can't I order chafe guard for the eye splice of a 1/4" Sail Right Double Braid Rope?
Answer: The smallest diameter of chafe guard we have is 1/2". We could work on a custom configuration if 1/2" chafe guard would be helpful for a particular application.
