Job Description

Rope Crew Team Member

Overview

The Rope Crew helps customers get the right rope for their next project by pulling, cutting, coiling, and shipping custom rope orders for a variety of industries and DIY project enthusiasts. This is a very active, hands-on, role that requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and working with pace – making it a great fit for someone who likes to move and have a lot of variety in their day.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a core team to cut, coil, customize, and ship daily rope orders on time

  • Fulfill customer orders with a high degree of speed and accuracy

  • Use hand tools to measure and cut ropes to exact lengths

  • Learn to splice an eye loop into the ends of 3-strand and double braid ropes

  • Make stock of commonly ordered ropes, with and without eye loops

  • Learn to make custom-ordered ropes such as: dock lines, anchor lines, and mooring pendants, etc.

  • Use a pallet jack and forklift to move and retrieve inventory (Required training and certification provided.)

  • Keep warehouse and workspace clean and orderly to maximize safety and efficiency

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old and earned (or soon earning) high school diploma / equivalent

  • Be drug-free

  • Strong hands and arms and able to safely lift 75+ pounds and work while on your feet all day

  • Possess high-degree of physical coordination and precision in work

  • Have a growth mindset: driven to improve results and bent toward taking action to solve problems

  • Demonstrated track-record of high integrity and work-ethic 

  • Thrive in fast-paced work environment that requires in-the-moment adaptability 

  • Pass background check, reference check, and orientation 

  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to make a positive contribution, and/or leadership, to a team
