Description
Polypropylene is a good general use rope when there aren’t any critical requirements. This type of rope is used in a wide variety of applications and is usually the first thing people think of when they think ‘rope’. It has moderate strength, moderate stretch and moderate abrasion resistance.
Polypropylene rope is UV resistant, floats in water, doesn’t rot, and is resistant to most chemicals, petroleum products and mildew. It is a medium lay rope that can be spliced. Polypropylene doesn’t absorb water and can be stored wet indefinitely without damage.
Our three-strand polypropylene rope is a high-tenacity danine construction and makes for a better handling, better tying rope than mono-filament construction. While polypropylene is a good general use rope, consider some other options if your application requires higher strength or needs to last longer Polyester Combo Rope is a great option.
