Description
Our premium Double Braid Equalizer Mooring Pendant consists of two sections of rope that create a “Y” shape and slide through each other. This ‘equalizes’ the tension andkeeps your boat in line with the buoy, adding longevity to both the pendant and your boat. The shorter ‘V’ leg has two eye splices that attach to the cleats on the front of your boat which makes up 40% of the total length of the pendant. That slides through the longer 60% leg that attaches to the mooring ball and has stainless steel thimble splices on both ends. This allows there to always be equal tension on your boat cleats even when your boat sways in the water. There is chafe guard to protect the rope where the thimble will slide and where the rope could touch the boat. These double braid mooring lines are made with a nylon core and a polyester cover which is the perfect combination. The polyester has greater UV and abrasion resistance on the outside and the nylon core gives the rope high strength and elasticity. It is torque free, won’t hockle or kink, and resists rot, mildew, marine growth, chemicals and petroleum products making it an ideal mooring pendant for ships in all environments. We offer these in 7 different colors and a variety of diameters and lengths.
